I was supposed to cover the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial and I chose my peace instead. Now, that last statement may sound like an oversimplification, but sometimes, things really can be that simple, can’t they?

Three months ago, I quit my “steady” job in journalism. I put steady in quotes, of course, because no job is really that steady and in journalism of all industries, that’s especially true. For anyone who knows my byline on other tabs of the Internet, up until recently, I worked at NPR as a correspondent in the Music Department.
